New Braunfels is a fairly small town conveniently located 40 miles north of San Antonio and 50 miles south of Austin.
New Braunfels has a rich German heritage with festivals, beautiful scenery, many things to do from floating the Comal or Guadalupe Rivers, to spending a day at Schlitterbahn. Enjoy shopping the Gruene Historic District and catching a concert at the iconic Gruene Hall. NB offers something for all ages to live and play. There are numerous charming businesses downtown New Braunfels as well as eateries. One will find a growing concentration of breweries and wineries in the vicinity.
