Round-rock

Looking for one of the best-managed cities in Texas, recognized as one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, Round Rock is for you.  The city is located just 15 miles north of downtown Austin.  It is known for high tech manufacturing, urban retail centers, suburban neighborhoods, and farm and ranch lands.

It is quickly becoming a major center for economic growth and job opportunities.  Employers like Dell, Kalahari Resorts, Amazon, UPS, Ascension Seton Williamson, Baylor Scott & White Healthcare, and St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center provide a variety of employment opportunities.

Round Rock has been considered one of the safest cities in the United States with a population of at least 100,000.  Round Rock Independent School District has been recognized for its performance levels and quality education for students.

Looking for entertainment opportunities, Round Rock has plenty.  The adventures can begin at Kalahari Resorts, America’s largest indoor waterpark. Kalahari Resorts has all types of activities for people of all ages, including rides and slides, game room arcade, escape room, and live entertainment.  Conveniently located across Highway 79 is the Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express, the Triple-A Affiliate for the Texas Rangers.  Spend a day enjoying a national pastime of good baseball, community, and fun times with the Round Rock Express.

One of the fan favorites for places to visit is Round Rock Donuts, known for the world-famous Texas-Sized Donut (weighing in at two pounds).  Round Rock Donuts was founded in 1926 and once you’ve had one you will know why it is still in business.

The rolling hills in Round Rock help to provide for some challenging golf at either the 7,147 yard par-72 golf course at the newly renovated Forest Creek Country Club or the Teravista Golf Club with its 7,200 yard layout with beautiful views of the Hill Country.  It was recently awarded “Beginner Friendly Course” by the National Golf Owners Association.

Round Rock recently changed its city motto from  “Sports Capital of Texas” to “Go Round Rock” to capture the growth from a destination city for sports activities to broaden its attractiveness to business and leisure activities.
