Cedar Creek

Cedar Creek is an unincorporated community located approximately 11 miles west of Bastrop, in Bastrop County. It is home to the 405 acre Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort. The resort offers a relaxing Lost Pines Spa, an award-winning 18-hole golf course, horseback trail rides and a waterpark.

McKinney Roughs Nature Park offers outdoor adventures from UTV rides through the miles of multi-use trails (hiking, mountain biking, & horseback riding), zip lining tours on the only dual zipline in Texas, rafting trips on the Colorado River, and overnight lodging is available.

Bastrop Independent School District is one of the largest districts geographically in the state of Texas. It serves over 12,000 students from the communities of Bastrop, Cedar Creek, Paige, Red Rock, Rockne, and vast rural areas of Bastrop County. The district has two high schools, an early college high school and a nontraditional online high school. There are two middle schools (grades 7 and 8), two intermediate schools (grades 5 and 6), and six elementary schools (grades pre-K through 4). The district also operates three licensed childcare facilities at Bluebonnet Elementary, Cedar Creek Elementary and Emile Elementary to provide care for the babies and children of their staff and student parents in the district.
