Pflugerville

Pflugerville

One of the fastest-growing suburbs in the Austin metroplex is Pflugerville. It is only minutes from downtown Austin and conveniently located with easy access to major U.S. and Texas highways (Interstate 35, State Highway 130, US Highway 290, and Texas 45).

Pflugerville’s history has a deep connection to German immigrants in the 1800’s.  Henry Pfluger and his family immigrated to the area in late 1849. Eventually the town of Pflugerville started to develop with established streets and businesses.  Pflugerville has maintained its strong connections to family and a “Willkommen” environment to visitors and residents to the area.

Residents and visitors can enjoy Lake Pflugerville Park with its 3-mile walking/jogging trail around the lake.  It has a playground, boat launch, pavilion and beach area for many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and nature.  Looking for something a little more active, visit the Typhoon Texas Waterpark Austin in Pflugerville. It has everything from the Lazy T River to The Duelin’ Daltons seven-story free fall down an open-air slide.

Pflugerville Independent School District has several high performing schools, and achieved the “Recognized” rating by the Texas Education Agency based on academics and graduation statistics. The school district encompasses all or part of six municipalities (Pflugerville, Austin, Coupland, Hutto, Manor, and Round Rock)

Pflugerville’s City motto is: “where quality meets life”.  Some say, “We’re not Austin but we’re close.”
