Lampasas

Lampasas can be considered a gateway to the Texas Hill Country with its connections to five major highways in five different directions.  It is home to several mineral springs along the Sulphur Creek branch of the Lampasas River.  Early settlers discovered the mineral springs and it became a main tourist attraction for the town in the 1800’s.

Lampasas is a rural community with a base of agriculture and commercial businesses.  It has good schools ( Lampasas Independent School District), attractive parks along the creeks, and outdoor recreational opportunities.  Take a stroll around the Historic Downtown Square or visit a local award winning wineries (Stoneledge Winery & Vineyard, Texas Legato Winery, and Fiesta Winery). In the summer, enjoy the natural free-flow spring swimming pool at Hancock Springs Park.
