Driftwood
Driftwood is an unincorporated area located in the northwestern portion of Hays county, between Dripping Springs and Wimberley, known for the Salt Lick BBQ.
Through the rolling hills one can find many wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Driftwood is often overlooked for more populous towns but is becoming one of the most desired places to visit and live.
Dripping Springs ISD serves over 8,400 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The district encompasses 198 square miles, including a small portion of Travis County. The students living in Driftwood attend Dripping Springs ISD schools. The district operates eight schools (one high school, two middle schools, and five elementary schools).
